Victor Cody began his career as a professional photographer in 1994 working as a writer and photojournalist and eventually art director for the Current News, then the largest gay magazine in the Midwest, based out of Kansas City. Beginning with commercial work, he has been assigned to photograph and or interview such notables as Celine Dion, Melissa Ethridge, Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge, Tatyana Ali, Joan Rivers, Pauly Shore, Paul Ridriguez, Louie Anderson, Phyllis Diller, Jason Stuart, Chastity Bono, Multiple Olympic gold- and bronze-medalist ice skaters and the coverage of President Clinton’’s Hate Crimes Bill.

During the late 90s Victor took a break from photography and in 2001 was convinced by a well known model that he should to try modeling. The next year Victor was titled the “Premiere Male Model of the Midwest”. He mastered the art of male posing and modeling, working everything from fashion spreads and TV commercials to the internet and fetish erotica. This is where Victor developed a passion for the male art nude. “Working with such wonderful photographers as I did inspired me and gave me a real passion and appreciation for the art of male modeling and photography”.

In May, 2004 Victor’’s Kansas City home was totally devastated by an F-4 tornado. Starting his life over, he relocated to South Florida. He put modeling on hold, purchased his first professional digital camera and focused his talents on photography. “I would shoot any and everything that I could and submit the images to magazines”. Later that year he traveled several months sailing the West Indies and shooting travel, leisure and lifestyle images for various magazines. It wasn””t long until Victor began getting commissioned work in fashion, kite boarding, surfing, boating, yachting, fishing, gardening and even show dog and registered cattle publications. “I used to save my money from the commercial magazine jobs so I could pay male models to work with”, says Cody.

In 2006 Studio Cody stopped all commercial work and working with the general public so that Victor could focus on the growing demand for his male photography and film production. Victor has also recently returned to working in front of the camera doing adult scenes for several dvds and internet sites. You can see him under the porn name Kody Knight.

Today, Victor’’s studio, located in Ft. Lauderdale, has a client list that reads like a royal bloodline in the adult and male model industry. In a very short time this struggling artist has achieved what many can only hope for. Just look at his work and you can only imagine how far his talents are going to take him.

“My passion has now become my profession. I am lucky and extremely honored to be making my living doing what I love to do”.

The rest, as they say, will be history.
